Media analysis for the coverage of the topic Drugs in Macedonia (November 15 -December 15, 2009)
In the period from November 15 to December 15, 2009, media monitoring was carried out, focusing on themes related to drugs issues, persons using drugs or persons addicted to drugs and more specifically, the problem with the use of amphetamines. In this period, almost all daily print media published in the Republic of Macedonia were monitored: Dnevnik, Utrinski Vesnik, Vest, Spic, Vreme, Nova Makedonija, Vecer, four internet pages (journalist and the web sites of media agencies): Inpress, Netpress, Makfax, Kirilica and two electronic media: А1 TV and Kanal 5 TV, including their official web pages. These media were selected because of their more serious treatment of issues related to the problem of drugs and their use, as well as the existence of separate rubrics and journalists covering heath issues.
