02.03.2010 36 journalists participated in the practical training “Risks associated with amphetamine use-journalistic aspects”
36 journalists from four countries (France, Hungary, Macedonia and Bulgaria) participated in the practical training “Risks associated with amphetamine use-journalistic aspects”, which was held on 25-26 of February, in Sofia. The lecturers were Pierre Chappard (ASUD (journalist/activist) France), Jason Farrel (Harm Reduction Consulting Services, Inc., Amsterdam), Peter Sarosi (Human Rights activist, Hungarian Civil Liberty Union, Budapes), Yana Buhrer-Tavanier (journalist, Bulgaria), Zoran Bojarovski (Macedonian Media Institute, Skopje) and Eric Schneider (A.C.C.E.S., France). During all presentations discussions were carried out.
The participants had to solve different cases such as: to pretend making an interview with drug-user, to write an article based on a real story about how a counsellor in drop-in centre is trying to help to a cocaine-user, to analyze and find the milestones in already published articles about drugs.
Every participant had to choose and attend one of the four site visits planned: in Substitution treatment center for drug users “Trust for Health”, Drop-in centre for drug users, NOVA TV or DARIK Radio.
All journalists recieved certificate for their participation.
